From badge-making workshops to ribbon designs, colouring activities, and medal-inspired exploration, this summer brings new ways to explore the Shrine.

These school holidays, bring the kids to the Shrine of Remembrance for FREE, fun and hands-on activities inspired by the Ribbon of Reflection and the military medals displayed in the Gallery of Medals.

Here’s what is in store:

  • Badge of Reflection: Create a mini medal badge, inspired by the Ribbon of Reflection, to wear home as a reminder of your visit to the Shrine. Bookings are required for this activity.

  • Medal Makers: Design vibrant ribbons using colourful paper, washi tape and chunky crayons. Need inspo? Check out the medals on display in the Gallery of Medals. No bookings required.

Drop in any time for:

  • Colours of Reflection: For the youngest of our Shrine Kids we have a special medal colouring sheet at our child friendly tables and chairs, with chunky crayons for little hands.
  • Millions of Medals: Teens and tween can fold their own chatterbox and embark on a journey through the Galleries, discovering the wonderful world of medals through stories and pictures.

Whether your little ones love making, colouring, or discovering, the Shrine has something to inspire creativity, curiosity and connection to Australia’s history.
