Victorian Primary Schools are invited to show off their creative skills and submit their design for the Shrine’s 2010 Remembrance Day poster. Your artwork must reflect this year’s theme: How the Shrine remembers Gallipoli

PRIZES

The winning poster will become the official 2010 Remembrance Day poster for the Shrine of Remembrance and will appear on banners and posters around the City of Melbourne.
The schools which submit the winning and highly commended artworks will receive a selection of books from Department of Veterans’ Affairs, a personalised visit to the Shrine and be able to place a flower in The Field of Poppies whilst attending the Official Remembrance Day Service for Schools on the 11th November. Travel costs will be covered by Metlink. Winning entries and highly commended artworks will be displayed in an exhibition at the Shrine to coincide with Remembrance Day 2010.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT

Create a poster that demonstrates how the Shrine remembers Gallipoli. Be sure to include some aspect of commemoration in your artwork. Your artwork can be a realistic depiction or an abstract representation, in colour or black and white, you can use pencil, pen, crayons, markers, paint, or collage.
