At Courtney’s Post on the Turkish Gallipoli Peninsula in May 1915 Albert Jacka was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery. Albert Jacka’s VC is currently on display at the Shrine as part of the exhibition This Company of Brave Men: the Gallipoli VCs.
