Galleries of Remembrance

The Shrine is Victoria's pre-eminent war memorial for the display and interpretation of Australian military history

Exhibitions and Collections

The Shrine of Remembrance hosts a program of permanent and special exhibitions which tell the stories of Australian service and sacrifice: at the frontline during wartime and peacekeeping, and on the home front. Set in the Shrine's undercroft space, the Galleries of Remembrance feature over 800 artworks, historical artefacts and personal effects, from Pre Federation to the present day. We recommend you allow at least 1.5 hours for your visit.
